Working tirelessly to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS in their community, they found that not a single hospital or organization would admit the children due to their HIV status. Faced with this harsh reality, they were moved to action.
For over two decades, Palawi has stood as a beacon of hope, serving the most marginalized children and young adults in society. What started as an immediate response to a crisis has grown into a holistic program dedicated to offering shelter, medical aid, education, nutrition, and psychosocial support. Palawi’s work extends beyond care, aiming to break the cycles of stigma and discrimination surrounding HIV, while empowering its residents to build dignified, fulfilling lives.
