At present, Gaushalas are new area of concern. Several Non-governmental organizations or trusts and several Self-Help groups are already working in this area. At present we have 4 cows at the “ Gaushala”. These local Indian breeds (desi cow) were rescued and rehabilitated in the Gaushala project. These cows do not give milk and, thus, do not have any commercial value. These abandoned cows are prevented from reaching to slaughterhouses and are given food, shelter, and proper care by Prabha Hira Pratisthan.
